Stay Safe While Roofing: Wear a Safety Harness

First off, we would like to thank everyone who came out to the CRCA trade show in Oakbrook, Illinois last Thursday and Friday. It was a great turn out and good too see familiar faces from the roofing community. OSHA is beginning to make citations against more contractors this year for improper use of fall protection or having no fall protection at all. Make sure that you all get your fall protection soon, and avoid paying thousands of dollars for an ignorant mistake. A lot of questions were asked about different types of safety harnesses. A great safety harness is the 3M 1011 Feather Harness – The “Original” Tangle-Free Harness, w/ Back & Side D-Rings, Quick-Connect Chest, Pass Thru Legs. This safety harness will provide great fall protection while working on different roofing projects. The main features for the 1011 Feather Harness is the lightweight, low cost, very comfortable, and the tangle free D-Ring assembly. The 1011 Feather Harness was the “Original” 3M (formerly SafeWaze) safety harness.
